Over the weekend Waddington Beer Festival proved to be a fantastic celebration of community spirit, partnership, and local pride.
Organised through a wonderful collaboration between St Michael's Church Waddington, The Three Horseshoes Waddington, and
Lincoln Scouts, the event brought together residents and visitors for a weekend full of great food, local brews, and lively conversation.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with comments such as “the food was amazing” and “thank you Scouts!” echoing throughout the festival. From start to finish, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy and togetherness.
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who came along, the Scouts raised an incredible £1,800 from food sales alone.
These funds will go towards providing young people in the community with adventure, outdoor experiences, and essential skills for life.
Lee Evans, Lincoln Scouts’ Lead Volunteer said:
“The success of the event simply wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support of the Waddington community. From the volunteers serving food and drinks to the local businesses and sponsors who helped make it all happen — every contribution played a part in creating something truly special.”
A huge thank you goes to St Michael’s Church, The Three Horseshoes, the amazing volunteers and everyone who supported the event. Together, we have shown the power of community in action — raising a glass to doing good, together.
“The best event I’ve been to in years, thank you Scouts for supporting the village with such amazing food!”
